From September 26 to 28, 2025, the Sports and Recreation Centre “Smeceres sils” in Madona will host the IBU Regional Summer Event and Baltic Biathlon Cup 2025, which will also serve as the Latvian Open Summer Biathlon Championships.
For three days, Madona will become the biathlon capital of the Baltics, bringing together athletes from various age groups – from the youngest MW13 class to experienced masters and seniors.
Competition Program
- September 26 (Friday): training sessions and team captains’ meeting (online).
- September 27 (Saturday): individual starts and sprint competitions for different age groups.
- September 28 (Sunday): mass starts and official award ceremonies.
All competitions will follow the International Biathlon Union (IBU) rules, with standardized roller skis provided for the athletes.
Participation and Registration
- Athletes born in 2010 and earlier must be registered in the IBU Membercenter by September 12, 2025.
- Latvian athletes must register by September 22, 2025 via www.biatlons.lv.
Venue and Accommodation
The competitions will take place at the Smeceres sils Sports and Recreation Centre in Lazdona parish, Madona municipality.
