Dear Biathlon Friends,

We are honored to host IBU Junior Open European Championships 2023 in the beautiful town of Madona in Latvia. This first big international biathlon event is a logical step in the rapid development of biathlon sport in Latvia.

Madona is a popular winter sports destination in Latvia. Sport of biathlon has quite a long history and traditions in Madona.

Latvian Biathlon Federation and Madona Municipality working together with the support of the Latvian Government has improved biathlon infrastructure in Sport and Recreation centre “Smeceres Pinewood” and we are ready to invite our biathlon friends to the great biathlon event.

We are looking forward to welcoming talented young biathletes, teams, supporters, fans and biathlon friends to Madona.

We are ready to provide excellent biathlon infrastructure, competitive and friendly competition atmosphere, supportive people around and unforgettable moments of the sport of biathlon!
